Ensaladang Labong

Ingredients:


2 cups of bamboo shoots, Labong
1 onion, chopped finely
French dressing


How to Cook:

  • Simmer the labong. Squeeze and filter it to remove excess water.
  • Add the labong and put some salt. Put the French dressing.
  • Put the tomato and onion on the top then serve it.

Ensaladang Cauliflower

Ingredients:


1 pcs. of cauliflower
¼ cup of French dressing
1 tbsp. of salt
½ cup of powdered cheese
Lettuce
¾ cup of mayonnaise


Procedure:

  • Soaked the cauliflower in cold water with salt.
  • Wash it using cold water and cut florets of cauliflower.
  • Cook it in boiling water with salt without cover in 5 to 6 minutes until it become tender.
  • Filter it and let it cool. Pour the French dressing on the top of cauliflower.
  • Put in inside the refrigerator in 30 minutes.

Ensaladang Asparagus

Ingredients:


6 leaves of lettuce
18 pcs. stem Of asparagus, cooked in boiling water
6 green chili pepper, chopped
1 cup of cooked carrot, chopped
¼ cup of celery, chopped
1 tbsp. of salt
1 cup of mayonnaise


How to Cook:

  • Arrange the lettuce in container. Add the asparagus on the top of lettuce.
  • In another bowl; put the chili, carrot, celery, salt and mayonnaise.
  • Pour it around the lettuce and asparagus.
  • Sprinkle it with paprika.

Empanaditas


Ingredients:

2 cups of flour
½ tbsp. of salt
4 tbsp. of baking powder
1 tbsp. of sugar
½ to 2/3 cup of milk, evaporated
2 spoon of cooking oil
Strawberry, mango or guava jam/jelly


How to Cook:

  • Filter the flour together with baking powder and salt. Add the sugar then filter it again. In a bowl; put the cooking oil and milk.
  • Make deep hole in the center of dry ingredients. Pour the mixed milk and cooking oil.
  • Mix it using fork to make it dough.
  • Flattened the dough and cut it using cookie cutter.
  • Put ½ spoon of strawberry, mango or guava jam/jelly.
  • Pour a few water on side of it.
  • Fold the half of it. Press the side of it using fork.
  • Fry it using a lot of cooking oil. Wait until its color become light red.

Eggplant Relish

Ingredients:


1 pcs. of eggplant
½ cup of onions, chopped finely
¼ green chili pepper, chopped finely
1 spoon of cooking oil
1 ½ tbsp. of salt
¼ coconut, grind
¼ tbsp. of powdered red chili pepper
3 spoon of all purpose cream
2 tbsp. of lemon juice


How to Cook:

  • Put the eggplant inside the oven with 350 degree F in 1 hour or broil it using fire.
  • Let it cool then remove the skin. In a frying pan; sauté the onions, green chili pepper using cooking oil in 5 minutes.
  • Rinse the coconut using cold water.
  • Chop the eggplant, saute vegetables, coconut salt and add the powdered chili.
  • Add the cream and lemon juice.
  • Chop it until it become fine. It can make 3 cups.

Dutch Apple Pie

Ingredients:


Pastry
Apple, chopped
¼ tbsp. of nutmeg
½ tbsp. of cinnamon
1 cup of all purpose cream
Cheddar cheese
1/3 flour, filtered
¾ cup of sugar
Salt


How to Cook:

  • Coat the container mold using pastry. Add the apple in the center of container.
  • In a bowl; put the nutmeg, cinnamon and cream. Mix it until it become sticky and fine. Slowly add flour, sugar and add some salt.
  • Pour it in the container mold then put it inside the oven with 450 Degree F in 20 minutes.
  • Remove and cover it using aluminum foil.
  • Return inside the oven with 350 Degree F in 45 minutes.
  • Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top.
